Many people have an idea of their measurements, but it’s always best to measure yourself again – especially when choosing a harness. It’s not a science. When choosing the right size for your new leather product, it is important to have a tape measure with you – you can easily do it yourself.
(If you don’t have a tape measure at home – here we have prepared an article for you as well)
For almost every product from our offer, you must measure and choose your measurements before adding them to the basket. For example, for collars/chokers – you will only measure the circumference of the neck. For some more complex chest harnesses, it is necessary to measure more measurements (for example, waist circumference, chest circumference, underarm drainage…).
In this article, we will explain how to correctly measure specific measurements.
Chest circumference
Measure the chest (breasts) in their fullest part. Wrap the meter across your breasts, shoulder blades forward so that you can see the measurement result.
Circumference above the breasts
Take this measurement in the place between the breasts and armpits around the shoulder blades. Do not tighten the meter – in these places the harness must have about a centimeter of freedom due to blood circulation and the nerves located in the armpit.
Waist circumference
The waist is measured above the navel below the ribs. Where exactly do you measure your waist? If you bend to the side, the crease that is created is your natural waist. Do not contract your stomach when measuring, otherwise you will measure false measurements.
Hip circumference
Hips should be measured across the largest part of the butt, around the hips. It is quite difficult to keep track so that the meter goes horizontally – help yourself with a mirror.
Calf circumference
The calf should also be measured at its widest point (approx. in the upper half). As with the thigh, the calf must be stretched when measuring.
Wrist circumference
One of the simplest measurements – measure the circumference of the wrist just behind the wrist joint (behind the projections of the wrist). Feel free to help yourself to the table.
When choosing a product from our offer, do not follow the ready-made sizes that you usually buy in other stores – each brand has different size charts. You can find ours here: SIZE CHART
At Harnessia, we make sure that each of our products is made and tailored to your body – so if you don’t find your size in our offer, you can contact us HERE. You simply need to write to us which of the products you are interested in and add the necessary measurements to it.
